Why we built a racing manager you race live every Sunday

We have played racing management games for years, and they all lacked the same thing: what makes running a team feel real beyond the track. That is why we made FTG Manager, a free racing manager browser game and a multiplayer one, where you build your home, look after your reputation, answer the press, spy on your rivals and win over the fans. And the championship does not pause when you close the tab. Qualifying is on Saturday at 14:00 and the race on Sunday at 15:00, Colombia time, and you run it against other managers.
This is the studio's first devlog. Every Tuesday, after the race, we tell you what happened in the paddock, one design decision, and the real numbers of the game, however small.
The week in the paddock
Round 11 ran on Sunday, October 18, at the São Paulo Circuit. In the FTG World Championship, Valentina Ferrara won for Toro Rojo; of the 24 cars on the grid, 8 never saw the chequered flag and 5 drivers finished at least five places ahead of where they started.
In the FTG 2th Series something happened that we like: Andrés Quiroga won for Savage White, a team with no manager. A free seat beat the teams that have an owner, in a race with 17 retirements and 18 comebacks of five places or more among 42 cars.

Now comes the final. With one race left, the World Championship drivers' title is still open: Kendall Thomas (GBA Racing) leads with 294 points, 25 ahead of Esteban Sánchez (Toro Rojo, 269) and 49 ahead of Valentina Ferrara (Toro Rojo, 245). One race can give up to 55 points, so all three have a chance. In the constructors' table, Toro Rojo has 514 and GBA Racing 466.

Design decision: the race does not wait for you
Qualifying and the race happen on time, whether you are in front of the screen or not. That is why what you do from Monday to Friday matters: your cars' setup, the practice sessions, your drivers' training and your decisions of the week.

And that is why your team has a president. They hired you and can also fire you: 30 days without logging in and you are out. We wanted running a team to feel like running a team, not like pausing a save file.

Honest numbers
We are small, and we would rather say it with numbers than with adjectives. These are today's numbers, October 24, 2026, not counting the studio's own account:
- 11 managers logged in to play in the last 7 days.
- 6 new managers signed up that week.
- 13 teams with no manager are waiting in the FTG 2th Series. The World Championship is full, 12 of 12.
Those 13 free seats are an invitation: the team that won the last 2th Series race had no manager.
What is next
Today at 14:00 is the final's qualifying, and tomorrow, Sunday the 25th at 15:00, the race runs at the Las Vegas Circuit with the title on the line. On Tuesday the 27th at 20:00 is the 2028 season Awards Gala, all in Colombia time. That same Tuesday we publish devlog #03, with how the championship ended.
