Before the final, go-karts

Today at 15:00 the season final runs in FTG Manager, our multiplayer racing manager in the browser. Yesterday, on the eve, two managers who run teams in the FTG World Championship went go-karting: Fitgons, of Green Vipers, and Wonkario, of GBA Racing.
It was not a real race. It was an afternoon to unwind before the season closes, at the GoKarts track in Los Molinos shopping centre, in Medellín, the city where we make the game.
An afternoon without a stopwatch

The track sits on a parking level, with orange and grey tyre walls, tight corners and a concrete floor that does not forgive a late brake. Nobody counted laps. What there was is what happens on every first lap: going out calm, finding the line and discovering which corner gives you time.
What the track reminded us
In a kart you feel everything in your body: how the grip changes as the tyres warm up, how much each braking weighs and how little a lead lasts if you miss a corner. In FTG Manager you do not drive the car: you prepare it. The decisions of the week, the setup, the tyres and the drivers are what you feel later in Sunday's race.
One thing is the same on both sides: the race does not pause. On track nobody waits if you stand and watch, and in the game qualifying and the race happen on time, whether you are at the screen or not.
Today, the final
Today, Sunday 25 October at 15:00 (Colombia time), the last race of the season runs at the Las Vegas Circuit with the drivers' title at stake. GBA Racing, Wonkario's team, arrives fighting for it with Kendall Thomas. On Tuesday the 27th at 20:00 is the Awards Gala, and that same Tuesday we publish devlog #03, with how the championship ended.
